I started learning marketing 2 years ago. In 2021, I niched down to Copywriting. Since then…
For more than 365 days, I’ve hand-copied successful copywriting examples to see what makes them THAT good.
Here are 5 tips for writing copy that sells (with examples)
Tip 1: Don’t sell a product. Sell emotions.
Connect your copy with people in a way that makes them feel like money is the last thing to be bothered about.
Tip 2: Show, don’t tell.
If your product is so good that it stands out from the competition—don’t show USPs.
Sing its praises!
Tip 3: Communicate genuine value
For eg: The image below makes you feel like you can get cafe-level coffee in a seemingly cheaper can.
So ideally, the customer is getting the best coffee experience for fewer dollars. Win-win!
4. Speak to your one ideal customer conversationally.
Make your brand sound human, so people are less receptive when you actually sell them something.
5. Using humor is rarely a bad idea.
People tend to like someone almost instantly when you make them smile, laugh, or maybe just a little giggle.
